Seat, head restraint, mirrors and airbags
Learn to Drive Smart · LTDS-2026-03 · Chapter 2 · Adjust for safety
Everything in this card is set before the vehicle moves, and none of it can be fixed afterwards.
Head restraint. It prevents whiplash — an injury to the neck, head and shoulders from a snapping motion. Adjust it so the top is at least level with the top of your head, and as close to the back of your head as possible; you may need to adjust the seat back to manage it. A close head restraint can be twice as effective as one set too far back.
