Changelog
Each content update and each app version that reached users, newest first. The app shows its content version in Settings and its app version on the About page.
Content version 1.15.0
Updated the licensing concept cards and questions for the changes to B.C.'s graduated licensing program that take effect on October 19, 2026, with new narration in all three languages. The handbook has not caught up with these changes yet, so these items follow the new rules as published by the B.C. government and ICBC.
App version 0.1.10
During a mock exam, pressing Back now asks before you leave. Pages opened from a link go back to the home screen. Redemption codes typed in full-width characters are accepted, and phones set to Cantonese show Traditional Chinese by default. If you are offline or the store does not answer, the app keeps your last known unlock. If a payment goes through but nothing unlocks, the app asks you not to buy again and to contact us from Settings. Comes with built-in content 0.10.0, which lists the new paid road-sign questions.
App version 0.1.9
Questions that compare two signs show both side by side. When narration has a newer version, Settings offers an update and question and concept cards tell you; deleting narration asks first. Text size follows your phone's setting without being enlarged twice, and the app remembers the size you pick. The lifetime option says it never expires and what it unlocks, and Settings explains how free content updates. Comes with built-in content 0.9.0, which adds five free road-sign questions with narration.
Content version 1.12.0
Added 27 new road-sign questions to the paid question sets, with narration in all three languages.
Content version 1.11.0
Added six new road-sign questions, five of them in the free set, with narration, and reworded one existing question.
Content version 1.10.0
Added English and Simplified Chinese narration to 20 road-sign questions that did not have it yet.
App version 0.1.8
Buttons were reorganised so each screen has one clear main action, the mock exam result and start screens included, and the purchase screen was redesigned. Free narration now downloads from a separate download server first, and falls back to the old address if that fails.
Content version 1.9.0
Reworked 24 road-sign questions so each one shows the sign it asks about and the question points at the picture, in all three languages. One answer was corrected. The narration for these questions was recorded again to match.
App version 0.1.7
First version offered as a download on this website, alongside Google Play; the website version unlocks content with a redemption code. On the purchase screen, "I have a redemption code" is easier to find and everything below the main button is centred. Codes starting with BCC- are accepted. When a subscription or code ends while the app is open, Settings says so. A concept card shows "back to this question" only when you came from a question.
App version 0.1.6
Menus and questions are available in Traditional Chinese, with narration. You can unlock all content in the app through Google Play with a weekly or monthly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase; subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Settings shows your subscription status with a Manage subscription button, and the purchase screen says why if prices cannot be loaded. The Terms of Use and Privacy Policy were updated for in-app purchases.
Content version 1.8.0
Questions, concept cards and narration are now available in Traditional Chinese. The English and Simplified Chinese concept card narration was recorded again.
App version 0.1.3
In landscape, screens and panels keep clear of the camera cutout and rounded corners. A failed download says why instead of always blaming the network. A code with extra characters is no longer cut down to a different code. After redeeming a code, Settings shows when your access ends, with a button to extend it, and free devices no longer see "could not check your access" after a content check.
App version 0.1.2
Phones and tablets can turn to landscape, with sign pictures beside the question. Practice progress can reach every question. In Where you stand, the percentage and the points still needed add up to the 80% pass mark. A topic is no longer marked weak because of answers from another topic. A question set's name shows above its questions, a mock exam that ran out of time no longer blocks a new one, and downloads and reports no longer hang on a slow connection.
App version 0.1.1
Seven more road-sign questions show a picture, and some sign pictures now draw correctly. Wrong answers link to the concept card that explains the rule. The tab bar is solid and keeps clear of the screen edge and the navigation buttons, system buttons follow light and dark mode, and titles and topic names fit narrow screens.
Content version 1.7.0
Fixed how 39 road-sign pictures draw on Android: small plates under a sign (such as a speed tab) and the watermark no longer shrink or move out of place.
Content version 1.6.0
Seven more free road-sign questions show a picture of the sign.
App version 0.1.0
First version for testers. Everything works offline; paid content is unlocked with a redemption code in Settings.
