Terms of Service — BC Class 5&7

1. Who provides this service

BC Class 5&7 is provided by an individual developer based in British Columbia, Canada.

There is no company behind this app. When these terms say "we", they mean one person.

Contact: support@vozai.com. Write to that address and we will give you the developer's full registration details — legal name and mailing address.

2. What this app is, and what it is not

BC Class 5&7 is a study aid for the knowledge test for a British Columbia Class 5, 7 or 7L driver’s licence.

It is not an official ICBC product, and it is not affiliated with or endorsed by ICBC or the Government of British Columbia. The official learning material is ICBC's own Learn to Drive Smart guide, and where anything here disagrees with it, the guide is right and we are wrong — please tell us at support@vozai.com.

The questions in this app are written by us. They are not real test questions, and we have no access to the question bank used in the actual test.

We do not predict whether you will pass. The app can tell you that you have met its own readiness threshold, which is a statement about your practice scores in this app and nothing more. It is not a forecast, and meeting it is not a guarantee of anything about the real test. We say this plainly because the most common complaint about study apps of this kind is exactly that gap — full marks in practice, a failed test in the room.

Road signs shown in the app are reproduced from public-domain sources; their provenance is recorded in the project's own source notes.

3. Using the content

The questions, explanations and concept cards are ours. Study with them however helps you.

Yes, all of this is fine:

• Screenshot a question and keep it.
• Quote a question or an explanation to a friend, a tutor, or a study group.
• Talk through the material with anyone.
• Use it to prepare for the test, which is the entire point.

These are not:

• Scraping or bulk-exporting the content, by any means.
• Redistributing it — republishing the question bank, packaging it into another app, selling it, or feeding it into a product of your own.

We are drawing the line at bulk copying and commercial reuse, and nowhere tighter. A rule against screenshots would be one we could not enforce, and a rule nobody can enforce makes the rest of this document look decorative. We would rather tell you exactly where the line is and mean it.

4. Full access and expiry

The free tier is two question sets and the concept cards that belong to them, plus the road-sign questions that ship with the app — those work on a fresh install with no network at all (section 7). A redemption code opens the rest — every question set, every concept card, and the narration for both. Codes of different lengths unlock the same thing; they differ only in how long (7 or 30 days — section 5).

When access runs out:

• Everything else locks again. The free sets keep working, exactly as before.
• Nothing is deleted. Content you downloaded stays on your device — we do not reach in and remove it. It is locked, not gone, and redeeming another code reopens it without another download.
• Your history stays. Answers, the questions you got wrong, and your progress are yours and are not tied to your access. They are still there when you come back, whether you redeem again or not.

5. Redemption codes

A redemption code unlocks the rest of the content for a fixed number of days.

• Codes are for either 7 days or 30 days. There is no lifetime code.
• Redeeming a second code extends your access rather than replacing it. If you redeem a 7-day code while 5 days remain, you have 12 days, not 7.
• A code can only be redeemed once. Once used, it is spent.
• Your access lives on your device. Restoring a device backup onto a new phone brings it with you. Deleting the app removes it, and we cannot put it back — there is no account for us to look you up by.
• We can withdraw a code. A code that was distributed in error, or published somewhere it was not meant to be, can be marked invalid. We do not withdraw codes that have already been redeemed in good faith.
• Codes have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for one.
• The days count from the day you redeem the code in the app, not from the day you paid. Buy today, redeem three months from now, and the clock still starts the day you redeem.

6. Paying and refunds

Prices

• Two redemption codes are sold on the website: 7 days, CAD $2.99 and 30 days, CAD $6.99.
• On Android, nothing is sold inside the app. Everything is opened with a code you buy on the website and enter in the app.
• We plan to add a purchase inside the iOS app. It does not exist yet. Whether it arrives, and when, depends on how the development goes and on Apple's App Store review. We are not promising it and we are not giving a date. Until it exists, a code bought on the website is the only way to open the content.
• We will not price by channel. If a purchase inside the app ever exists, the same thing will not cost more or less depending on where you bought it.

Tax

The listed price is what you pay. We charge you no tax, and no tax line appears anywhere on the page.

Paying, and getting your code

• A purchase on the website sends you to PayPal to pay. Our page collects no payment details and embeds no payment component. Your email address and payment details are held by PayPal; they do not reach our server and do not enter our logs.
• Codes are sent by hand, not automatically on payment. We send the code to the email address you used at PayPal. If it has not arrived within 24 hours, write to support@vozai.com with the payment reference.

Refunds

• An unredeemed code can be refunded. We withdraw that code at the same time we refund it; it cannot be used afterwards.
• A redeemed code is not refunded. Redeeming is the moment the content opens.
• Refunds go back the way the payment came.
• Write to support@vozai.com and give us the payment reference. We have no account to look you up by — that reference is the only thing that lets us find the payment.

7. Availability

The app works offline. Everything you have already downloaded — questions, explanations, concept cards, audio — keeps working whether or not our server is reachable, and a fresh install can start practising road-sign questions with no network at all. This is a deliberate design constraint, not a happy accident.

What the server affects is getting new content: updated question packs, packs a code unlocks, and redeeming codes themselves. If the server is unavailable, those wait; your studying does not.

We do not promise any particular uptime, and we may take the service down for maintenance. We will not remotely disable content you have already downloaded.

8. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the courts of British Columbia.

Nothing here takes away rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived by agreement. If you live somewhere whose law gives you rights these terms appear to remove, that law wins.

9. Changes and contact

We may update these terms. If we do, we change the effective date above and note material changes in the app's release notes. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
